Description

The First general Body Meeting of the newly formed branch was held on the 16th of September 2021 at Hotel Fortune Inn at Sector 27, Noida.

The meeting was preceded by an academic feast which comprised of two interesting talks delivered by Dr Anshumali Chaudhary (Fluid management in Peri operative period) and Dr Vibha (Role of PCM infusion for post op pain)

The total number of attendees during the meeting was 40. Each one introduced themselves with their names, place of work and special interests.

This was followed by the general Body meeting formally according to the agenda, the following points were discussed and passed by the majority
1. Dr Mukul Jain appraised the house about the Journey of the Branch so far which included the conception of the idea a few years back, relentless follow up by our dedicated present President, formal announcement and installation of the branch and the enthusiastic first two clinical meets.
2. Dr Sameer Bolia, the Finance Secretary elaborated about the financial activities till date which included generous contribution by the Executive body members and Life membership charges from new members. The body was told that there have been virtually no expenses in the past two meetings with the members managing the expenses from their own sources.
3. Dr Peeyush Chaudhary proposed the expansion of the present executive to include additional members for more enthusiastic contribution. The following expansions were proposed and finalized.

4. Our esteemed Prsesident proposed waiver of membership fee for senior members of the fraternity more than 70 years of age. The same was passed unanimously and Dr Prof CK Dua was accepted as the first member in this category.
5. The house also discussed the possibility and willingness to opt for hosting the state ISA Conference next year. This was met with an overwhelming response and decision to bid for the same was taken
6. Other points raised spontaneously by the members for pondering in subsequent meetings were as follows

a. Fixation of anaesthesia fees/charges for private practitioners
b. Constitution of a legal cell
c. Group indemnity insurance
d. Grievance Cell
e. Group Mediclaim
f. Social responsibility- provision for a free ambulance service by the organization

7. Suggestions were sought for awareness social activities which can be planned for the forthcoming World Anaesthesia Day on thye 16th of October. Some suggestions that came up were- tree plantation , walkathon, CPR training at Malls and police stations
8. The meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks form all the members for coming in good numbers and making it successful. More support was sought in the coming activities in future.
